I’m Daniel, an acquisition entrepeneur aiming to acquire, manage and operate a business for the long term.
I’ve been Associate CFO at MoMA in New York, where I’ve overseen a $265M P&L and led finances, human resource planning, and operations of the organization through three phases: a 40% expansion, the COVID pandemic, and the business recovery phase after the pandemic. As an engineer in training, I started my career at Alfa Group in Mexico, in an investing role where I collaborated on +$1 billion of investments in the chemicals, manufacturing and energy spaces.
I’m originally from Monterrey, Mexico but now call New York City home. In 2014 I made the move from Mexico to California to pusue graduate school. I am also a concert pianist, and while I mostly play classical music from Chopin, Liszt and Gershwin, I’ve recently ventured into Latin Jazz. I’m arranging a series of latin compositions for piano solo inspired by the music of Bebo Valdes.
I hold an MBA from Stanford University, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Monterrey Institute of Technology.
